A330-200 - THE ECONOMIC POWERHOUS

a
INTRODUCTION
253 passengers in a three-class cabin layout, 6650 nautical miles range. Powered by General Electric CF6-80E, Pratt & Whitney PW4000 or Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engines.

A330-200 capitalizes on the proven, advanced features of A330/A340 Family, making it by far the most modern design in its class. It is ideally suited to the needs of medium-capacity markets and with the versatility to serve extended- range routes.

Quite simply, it offers a more comfortable cabin, better payload carrying capability, better range and take-off performance, and more complete family connections than any competitor.

b

PERFORMANCE

A330/A340 Family introduced new innovation in aircraft design. It was the first, and is the only, airliner programme designed to allow airlines to select different aircraft models to best satisfy their varied fleet development needs.

Different configurations offer better operating efficiency and development potential on different design ranges than can be achieved by a single configuration; twin-engined A330s for the lowest cost on medium- to extended- range routes, four-engined A340s for the ultimate operating flexibility on long and very long range networks. A330-200 has a maximum range of 6650nm/12300km.

The "range curves" with baggage allowance and full fuel reserves allowance is made for airways routings instead of the most direct routings and for headwinds for that particular region; it is because these winds differ from route to route that the "curves" are not in fact perfect circles.

c
CABIN LAYOUTS
Every airline is different, with its own particular market requirements and travel products for its customers – the travelling public.

That means that every Airbus airliner must be readily adaptable and capable of having a cabin configuration that matches the needs of each airline. Just as important, cabin must be designed to allow rapid reconfiguration to a new layout as travel market changes or for when the aircraft is moved to different routes or different markets.

Below are two non-specific cabin arrangements showing A330-200 two-class and three-class layouts.

CROSS-SECTION
In A330-200 cabin, seat pitch can be adapted in units of one inch. Galleys, lavatories and stowages can be located in different numbers, groupings and locations. In-flight entertainment can be incorporated in seats or screens mounted on partitions below overhead stowages. These make for an almost infinite variety of cabin interiors.

A330-300 - THE MOST EFFICIENT AIRCRAFT YET DESIGNED BY MAN
a
INTRODUCTION
295 passengers in a three-class cabin layout, 5600 nautical miles range. Powered by General Electric CF6-80E, Pratt & Whitney PW4000 or Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engines.

A330-300, the original twin-engine member of A330/A340 Family, is designed to do what twins do best. Highly efficient, optimized for the medium- to extended-range market, it is the uncompromized solution to the range/cost dilemma.

With true widebody comfort, volume efficiency of this aircraft is such that, after allowance for passenger baggage, it has more space for cargo than in a 747, while offering unbeatable seat-mile costs
