1.
Establish a Contract :
House
Rules and Regulations on the Use of Home Internet browsing - No
Pornography or No Gambling or No Excessive Violent Games. Share
with them the values of your Home.
2.
Surfing & Talking Together :
Establish
and Share Common Interests with Children on their preferred reading,
entertainment, lifestyles, fashions, etc. Sit with them at the
Computer and discuss what they see. Talk frequently with your
children about what they’re doing online.
3.
Placement of Home Computer :
Place
the Home Computer in the Living Room, preferably with a 19"
or 21" monitor, especially for the grandparents, and for
the parents to "view clearer" from afar.
4.
Browsing Budgeting (Time & Money) :
Use
5 cents/minute to estimate your internet billings. Anything more
than $100 is a concerned, that means browsing of 6 hours or more
on the Net per day.
5.
Spot Checking and Install Security Filter :
Using
or set History Button. What is a Security Filter – a piece
of software that prevents the User from visiting "banned"
sites; the banned-site list usually comes from the filter maker

Setting up and "Keep-in-contact" of family e-mail Accounts
:
Sharing
an e-mail account with young kids (under 10) is a good way of
communication. Encourage older kids with their personal e-mail
addresses to communicate regularly with their grandparents, uncles
& aunties, and cousins.

Is Someone Spying on You?
How
to protect yourself? One way is to hide your footsteps on the
Web through an anonymiser program,

The
program(s) allow you to surf the Net undetected and send and receive
encrypted (confidential) e-mails.
