To be honest with
you, 98% of the things you read in books or
watch in the movies about Vampyres are NOT
true. Most of all, the internet doesn't give
you the information you need. I have surfed
through so many websites about vampires and
it really amuses me.
For example - The legendary way to kill a
vampire is by driving a stake through the
heart of a vampyre. Well, anyone would die
from that even if he/she isn't a vampyre.
I will take this opportunity to enlighten to
the many out there who are having the wrong
facts about vampires. Once again, I won't be
using the word "Vampire" but "Vampyre".
In my years, I have came across Goths,
posers, wannabes and of course the curious.
I saw some people saying about seeing few
guys wearing black with their face being
pale in Singapore. Well, they could be
Goths. People have often get confused
between Gothic Lifestyle and Vampyrsim.
The Gothic Lifestyle is just a fashion
statement or some say a trend. It does have
the roots connected to the "Rebels of
Underworld" but not to Vampyrsim. There are
also articles saying that Vampyres carry a
book known as The Book of Nod. Which is
nothing more than a myth. The Book of Nod
does'nt even exist in this face of Earth.
The common MYTHS about Vampyres are :
1- Vampyres fear sunlight...
2- Vampyres fear garlic...
3- Vampyres fear holy water...
4- Vampyres suck and survive on blood...
5- Vampyres have fangs...
6- Vampyres are immortal...
7- Vampyres can shape shift - like turn to
bats and such...
8- Vampyres have super human senses...
9- Vampyres are soldiers to Satan and
connected to Satanism...
10- Vampyres are killed by driving a stake
through the heart...
All of the above are nothing but myths and
it really amuses me of how, a few well
crafted rumors about Vampyres have taken the
world by storm.
Vampyres or Vampyrism is in fact a forbidden
knowledge and culture. What are Vampyres?
They are just like us, living breathing
beings who have their regular food, day in
and out to survive. They don't go around
sucking blood. The movies have made it so.
Vampyres die too, they are not immortals.
Everything that breathes, will die one day.
Most of all, Vampyrism is not a religion.
They can't shape shift - imagine a whole
body mass turning into a bat. Where does the
other excess of body mass goes to? Sunlight,
garlic and the holy water have no effect on
Vampyres. There are people who are allergic
to sunlight and its a medical condition.
Does that make them a Vampyre? Garlic and
holy water - God knows who came up with that
idea in Hollywood.
As I have said, driving a stake through the
heart of a Vampyre kills it. It will kill
you too. Satanism and Vampyrism are never
connected. Vampyres are known to be the
rebels - therefore got the name as the
"undead". They are known to fight against
all odds, fighting against Hell and Heaven.
They don't have a religion, so how could
they be Satanist if they fight against hell.
To my understanding, Vampyres do exist, but
its not how they look or dress as you might
think. They work, eat and sleep (Yes, they
sleep at night too). So you might be asking,
what makes a Vampyre a Vampyre? Well its the
belief and the knowledge of their culture
they carry on. In the historical time,
trouble makers are often known as blood
suckers in the society. I am sure even
nowadays, some of our parents call us blood
suckers. If translated in some foreign
language if I am not wrong, blood sucker
comes as of something close to Vampyre -
Broken down in English would be "Vampire".
So, these Vampyres being the outcast of
society need some secrecy to survive in the
society itself. They need to mingle with the
crowd without exposing who they are. And
that secrecy is being followed till today.
Of course there are some who don't follow
that and their identity get exposed but not
their belief. Its just a "custom" and
culture for them.
Vampyres in the movies and books are not
what they are. Hollywood is making money by
pushing their imagination of a blood sucking
rebel or should I say a trouble maker...
The Lifespan and the
Biological characteristics of Vampyres
differs from each individuals. Just like
humans, each one is different and have
different life spans, including the
biological characteristics.
Like I have said, there are no documented
cases of an Immortal Vampyre existing. All
Vampyres die eventually, let it be due to
old age, illness or unnatural death. But
because of their channeling of energy into
good vibes for their own, they somewhat age
older. As in, they don't look their age.
So, if you are thinking of how can you
identify a Vampyre in the streets, you can
actually forget about it. One can't point
out who is a Vampyre and who is not by
looking with the naked eyes. Vampyres have
built a strong bond within their own kind
and the knowledge which they have acquired
actually helps them to sense when one of
their own is around. Humans call them gut
feeling, but for Vampyres - Its more than
that. It is never a 50-50 chance of getting
it right. Its always, 100% certainty for
them.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Basically, Vampyres are humans. Just like
you and me. A Vampyre or Vampyrism is not a
kind of race or religion. Its more like a
title given to someone who have acquired the
so called forbidden knowledge.
Its just like why a doctor should be called
as a doctor or maybe why a politician is
called as a politician. Its the way one
lives and beliefs and of course knows what
he/she is dealing with. Don't get me wrong,
Vampyrism is NOT a profession as well.
Vampyres have their own way of living but
things have changed due the changes in Time.
Vampyres have been around for a long time
and they have been recorded in History. You
see, the time we live in now is very fast
without having any time for ourself,
especially in Singapore. So most of the
practices of Vampyrism is slowly dying out
everywhere in the world today. More and more
of these people or should I say Vampyres are
leaving their beliefs and culture behind so
they can feel "normal".
You might be wondering what is this Vampyre
Culture or belief is all about. In fact, we
all are Vampyres. A Vampyre is a person born
with a condition that is considered an
energy deficiency. The 'Vampyre' can sustain
its own energy levels by pulling energy from
another living source - like plant, animal,
elements, etc. Everyone wants to feel good.
When I say pulling energy, it doesn't mean
you will be supernatural. Some of us keep
plants and pets and some of us need elements
like water, fire, etc in the home to feel
better.
It is simply a reference to someone who is
lacking in energy. Vampyres are all humans.
The word vampyre does not infer a person who
is not human. There have never been any
documented cases of True Immortal Vampyres
ever existing. Not even Prince Vlad Dracul
(Count Dracula) or Countess Erszabet Bathory.
We all die but its on what we are
concentrating on and how we live our life.
Vampyres are humans with different behaviour,
practices and culture but they don't have
different sets of behaviour at different
places. No matter where a Vampyre is, their
practices and culture is the same. There are
people who misuse who the beliefs, then
again, no one is perfect.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
First of, when I said
"A Vampyre is a person born with a condition
that is considered an energy deficiency. The
'Vampyre' can sustain its own energy levels
by pulling energy from another living source
- like plant, animal, elements, etc." - I
didn't mean physical energy but of mentally.
Every single Vampyre that walks the Earth
today, do suffer from some kind of mental
unstability - For example, Depression. And
it brings them closer together. You see,
that is when the culture plays a part.
Poetry, music and stage plays are common
pastime among these Vampyres until today.
Depression plays a big part to them, and
they are inspired by that in lots of ways to
express themselves through words.
Well, if you have understood my first
explaination, I said that these Vampyres got
their name after a translation from the word
"blood suckers" who are also known as the
rebels or trouble makers. At some point of
time, when these humans go through some kind
of depression or mental unstability - They
tend to do things which could be beyond
their own control. Some turn suicidal too.
So, when these trouble makers - blood
suckers - Vampyres are some how connected in
a way, they have their own way of life.
Vampyres could catch a cold or even be
positive to HIV. But the lack in energy -
mentally, drives these Vampyres to a higher
and newer level. You will be surprised of
how depression can make you hate yourself
and hate the world while changing you. A
very good example would be the History of
Dracula himself. Dracula was in exile for
several years. He remained a prisoner of
Matthius Corvinus of Hungary for several
years. For most of the period of Dracula's
imprisonment, his own brother wasn't on his
side but ruled Wallachia as a puppet of the
Ottoman sultan.
All these hatred and depression that Dracula
went through, made him into a powerful
leader thereafter. But he was killed
eventually while fighting the Turks.
I'm not saying that Humans who suffer from
depression or have energy deficiency
(mentally) are Vampyres. The ones who study
the Art of using these as weapons and
reaching newer heights are, together with
their culture. And I have said nothing about
drawing energy from food source. We all do,
so its not a big deal if only Vampyres are
able to do that.
But pulling energy, to lift their spirits,
therefore I said - "When I say pulling
energy, it does'nt mean you will be
supernatural. Some of us keep plants and
pets and some of us need elements like
water, fire, etc in the home to feel
better."
So in short, the first description is -
Vampyres are humans who have gone through
some kind of life changing experince which
put them into some kind of mental
unstability - which could be from an illness
they have been suffering since the day they
were born, which could have came halfway
through their life OR it could be from
having low self esteem, low self confidence
and the fear of having a different thought
on issues differently from others. Being
afraid of how people might think of them and
their ideas. (Therefore trouble makers are
formed, like gangs/society.)
Second description is - These Vampyres
become Vampyres because they found someone
who have gone through similar experience as
theirs and a forbidden culture was created.
These gangs were not gangs anymore. They
became more sophisticated and glamourous to
downright the "normal humans" who are not
suffering from anything or have not felt
being different.
Third description is - Vampyres have their
own mindset. Humans have them too, but if
you once again remembered my previous post,
I have said that the word "Vampyre" is more
like a title. Humans will remain as humans
even if they have gone through everything,
but they will never be Vampyres if they
don't have the belief, culture and the
mindset (knowledge) of Vampyrism.
Vampyrism have been around for more than
hundreds of years. One can't learn so much
in short period of time.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"So, how do Vampyres
tap energy from other sources?". - Well, to
be honest with you, I can't tell you in
details as it could be mastered by anyone if
they knew how and it I am afraid that it
might get into the wrong hands for
experimentation. So, I am just going to
break down the process for an understanding
without exposing the Art of doing it.
The highest point when a Vampyre could drain
energy from other sources is when a Vampyre
is at his/her lowest of mental unstability.
For example - Depression or some other sorts
which can make one uncomfortable mentally.
These are the signs to the Vampyre that its
time to drain energy. Its like telling us
when we are "hungry".
If you have noticed my previous post again,
I have said that depression for example can
drive a person to a higher level if he
channel it as weapon. If one had gone
through depression, would understand how it
feels. It would be like your energy and your
soul is trying to leave your body and you
would become desperate to do anything to put
a stop to it. It is emotionally painful.
This is where the energy draining comes to
play.
The Vampyres know when and where and how to
drain energy and make themselves feel
better. When you are depressed, even without
you knowing, if you have concentrated on
something even for like 5 mins, you would
feel that you actually feel better. Its
about taking your mind away from your body
and emotionally be connected on other
sources, trying to feel it. This is just a
rough sketch. The way that Vampyres drain is
somewhat on a bigger scale. Vampyrism has a
very large scope on its beliefs and culture.
Its all from within. There is a saying, "A
desperate man will do desperate things"
YES, there are
Vampyres in Singapore. The community for
Vampyres is very small in Singapore and
therefore I don't think they need any green
light from someone to say its okay for
Vampyres to stay. And even if they gather as
a group, you can't bust them for Vampyrism
but only for illegal assembly and of course
if that is the case, you could be busting so
many groups of people gathering together.
Satanism and Vampyrism are 2 different
things. Satanism is considered as a religion
in some parts of the world. Vampyrism is not
a religion, therefore it is not a cult. A
cult is a religious system giving devotion
or homage to a person or thing. Vampyrism
has none of that. Vampyrism is NOT a cult.
Satanism is.
For Vampyres being sadist, I should say
that, even Humans are sadist for their
Animal abuse and Child abuse. There is a
saying in Vampyrism, "One should not harm
the ones weaker than they are". Vampyres
have always followed that.
Gothic culture and Vampyre culture are
connected under only one root - The
Rebellious. These Goths are so fascinated by
the movies and the music that they want to
show something that is being kept away from
public. Most of the times, Goths are
mistaken for Vampyre wannabes. In short -
Gothic culture is more of the fashion
statement of the outcast of the society and
the Rebels from darkness, without the
fundamental value of the Art, unlike
Vampyres.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now for the misleading Tabloids in
papers about Vampyres are really upsetting
me. And therefore many say that Vampyrism
is a wrong belief
which leads them to do some things bad which
happen to be a cult. In fact, there
was a case about Rod Ferrel and 3 others
involved in the murders had said nothing
about being Vampyres but people wanted to
belive that. People wanted to think they
were housed with supernatural beings.
In fact, people who practiced withcraft
felt violated by the associations to Heather
Wendorf because she had dabbled in earth
magic and a witch's handbook was found in
her room. Most of these Vampyre killings or
being a leader of a cult are nothing but
misleading statements which gives the the
real Vampyres a bad name.
Even in Singapore, there are people who say
they are Monks, dressed in robes and armed
with a wooden bowl, asking for money on the
streets. There are also people who say they
are some kind of medium or Feng Shui masters
and need to cleanse someone by actually
having sexual relationship with the victim.
Even Adrian Lim went to the extreme by
killing, so that he can have greater power.
There are always people who claim to be
someone they are not and always give bad
names to the authentic ones. And when one
says that "A wrong belief which leads them
to do some things bad which happen to be a
cult.", I have to say that, Vampyrism has no
wrong beliefs neither does it says that
everything is true.
Everyone is
preoccupied with oneself. We need to work,
eat, drink and sleep. And not forgetting, we
all belief in something, even if others
don't.
I do admit that I am self-centered too. I do
have my own life and my own beliefs. But I
don't think everyone is self-centered like
me. Everyone is self-centered in their own
ways. They have other their own things to
worry about and they have their own beliefs
too. I am not complaining about it or am I
getting all worked up just because others
have different beliefs.
Everyone is preoccupied with oneself, even
animals are. So doesn't that, puts to the
fact that, all living things are
self-centered? I am not here to preach about
Vampyrism. I am here to share the facts
which many people have misconception on. Its
up to the individual on how they accept the
facts for their own interest.
